Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we are asked most often about our garage doors.

What is the standard size of a garage door?

In Belgium, the most common sizes for a single garage door are 2500 × 2125 mm and 3000 × 2125 mm (width × height). For a double garage, widths typically range from 4500 to 5000 mm. There is no imposed standard, however: our Select-Line SERIES doors are made to measure, from 2000 to 6000 mm wide and 1875 to 3250 mm high, in 5 mm increments. The measurement to take is that of the masonry opening, adding the 100 mm rebates on each side. Also allow 100 mm of side room per side for the tracks, plus a lintel height that depends on the guide system: 100 mm with the TS100 or G100, 160 mm with the G160, 200 mm with the G200, and only 60 mm with the R60.

What warranty is provided on Select-Line garage doors?

Select-Line SERIES garage doors carry a 10-year manufacturer warranty on the panels and structural components. It covers manufacturing defects and the durability of the 40 mm steel sandwich panels with a polyurethane core. All our doors are CE certified to European standard EN 13241-1 and carry the RC2 quality label. They include as standard the required and recommended safety devices: anti-finger-pinch protection between panels, anti-lift protection, anti-obstacle safety through force limitation, and a spring-break safety device on the G100 and G200 systems. AGL Services provides after-sales support from Seilles (Andenne) and supplies original spare parts for the whole range: springs, lifting cables, rollers, seals, panels and motors. Regular maintenance — checking spring tension and lubricating the tracks — is recommended to keep the door working properly.

Can I install the garage door myself?

Yes. The Select-Line SERIES range is designed for self-assembly with the TS100 system, whose traction springs are built into the side tracks: there is no torsion spring shaft to tension above the opening, which makes fitting considerably more approachable. The TS100 requires only 100 mm of lintel and suits doors up to 3500 mm wide and 3000 mm high. The door is delivered ready to assemble, together with assembly guides and installation videos. For self-assembly, the applicable VAT rate is 21%. If you would rather not fit it yourself, AGL Services offers installation by its own technicians: the package covers on-site measuring, delivery and fitting, and gives access to all guide systems (G200, G160, G100 and R60) as well as the reduced 6% VAT rate for buildings over ten years old.

What motorization options are available?

Two operating modes are available. Electric operation is selected by default: it includes two remote controls and an indoor push-button box as standard. It can be complemented by an external key release, essential when the garage has no access from inside the building, and by additional remote controls. Manual operation remains available and then comes with a double-sided cylinder lock fitted as standard. The choice of guide system affects motorisation: the R60 system, used to replace an old up-and-over door with only 60 mm of lintel, requires electric operation. Whichever mode you choose, anti-lift and anti-obstacle force-limitation safety features are built in. The online configurator shows the effect of each option on the final price and generates a detailed PDF quote.

Do you deliver outside Belgium?

Yes. AGL Services delivers mainly in Belgium, but also serves France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Germany. Two options are available: collection from our depot in Seilles (Andenne), rue Wanhériffe 28e, or home delivery. For collection, plan for a van or a large trailer: a sectional door is delivered as panels the full width of the door. Manufacturing and delivery take 6 to 8 weeks, as each door is produced to measure once the order is confirmed. Terms provide for a 70% deposit on order confirmation and the 30% balance after delivery, with ownership transferring upon payment in full. The VAT rate depends on the country and, in Belgium, on the age of the building: 6% beyond ten years, 21% for recent construction.
